Mary Ann Alger, Business Development Consultant
Mary Ann Alger has extensive experience in finance, small business consulting, and entrepreneurship. In addition to serving as JMU’s first lady, Ms. Alger is an Executive Advisory Council member of Women for Madison, an advisor to the Center for Entrepreneurship at the College of Business, a frequent guest speaker in classrooms, and a mentor to students. She is a co-founder of the Madison Business Network and serves as an advisor to the Shenandoah Valley Small Business Development Center, the Harrisonburg School District Fine Arts Academy, and the Shenandoah Valley Children’s Choir. |

She educates and enables the Cisco internal salesforce to clearly articulate Cisco's cloud strategy including its ability to provide customers with solutions for their private, public, and hybrid cloud business needs including intercloud offerings and the various cloud service offerings of Cisco Powered providers.

Her work focuses on supporting and inspiring individuals and groups to create positive change in their communities. Ms. Clark has led the expansion and growth of TOMS Community by collaborating with new audience groups and creating programming and resources that help all members of the global community tell TOMS story. Prior to joining TOMS, she spent her twenties at The Walt Disney Company heading up the Disneyland Grad Nite program and helping market the Disney Endurance Series sports programs. Originally from Fredericksburg, Va., and a military family, she completed her undergraduate degree at JMU in 2003. Specific to JMU, Ms. Clark was a Student Ambassador her Freshman through Senior year and also enjoyed working for the Office of Residence Life serving as an RA her Sophomore year and Hall Director during her Junior and Senior year. Heather Hart, Philanthropist
Heather Hart is a California native, but her charitable work has touched the lives of countless people across the country and, indubitably, across the globe. An avid activist, Ms. Hart has spent the majority of her life seeking to find ways to improve the lives of others through her hard work and dedication. After successfully managing a thriving national advertising company, Ms. Hart devoted herself to philanthropic giving, consecrating her efforts on inspiring those around her to take action to enhance the lives of those in need.
Ms. Hart strives relentlessly to enrich the lives of cancer patients and their family members. In addition to having served on the board of the Kosair Children's Hospital and the Norton Cancer Leadership Council, Ms. Hart has utilized her position as a board member of the Gilda’s Club to provide hope and emotional support for cancer patients and their friends and family as they embark on a battle that resonates with Ms. Hart on a personal level; she considers it extremely important. Ms. Hart embraced her role as the Co-Chair of the Ride to Conquer Cancer alongside her husband, where thousands embark, armed with a helmet and the desire to challenge themselves, on a cycling adventure over one hundred miles long to ride untitled against cancer. Ms. Hart has been instrumental in raising upwards of one million dollars towards the battle against cancer.
Ms. Hart is passionate about spreading her message of the importance of philanthropic giving, and she constantly seeks out avenues to instigate those around her to become more involved in bettering their community. Ms. Hart and her husband founded the Louisville Metro Police Foundation, and have raised over one million dollars towards providing officers and their families with the support and assistance that they desperately need. Ms. Hart works tirelessly to ensure that each philanthropic initiative that she is a part of achieves the highest level of success and touches the lives of as many people in need as possible. Known for her leadership and tenacity, it is no surprise that Ms. Hart spearheaded the establishment of California Pizza Kitchen’s charitable foundation Inspired Acts, which is centered around mobilizing communities and initiating longstanding change. To date, Ms.Hart’s initiative has raised well over one million dollars and touched the lives of thousands of people. Ms. Hart utilizes Inspired Acts as a platform to share her vision of serving communities and inspiring others to do the same in any capacity that they can, however large or small.

Lucy Hutchinson is a Senior Manager for Executive and Commercial Recruiting of Capital One. Ms. Hutchinson joined Capital One from Korn/Ferry where she was a Senior Associate in the global nonprofit practice. Ms. Hutchinson specialized in the recruitment of C-Suite leaders within nonprofit organizations, foundations and associations. She has conducted searches for organizations including World Wildlife Fund, CARE, the ONE Campaign, United Way Worldwide, and the World Bank.
Prior to joining Korn/Ferry, Ms. Hutchinson served as director of gubernatorial appointments for Virginia's Governor Timothy M. Kaine. In this role, she was tasked with advising the Governor on candidates for political appointments, recruiting and assessing said candidates, and serving as a liaison among the Governor, cabinet secretaries, and agency heads. Ms. Hutchinson began her career working for a boutique international political consulting firm in Washington D.C.

Chiquita King, Learning Systems Instructional Designer

Hailing from Southampton County/Franklin, Va., Double-Duke Chiquita King attended James Madison University from 2005-2011. During her tenure, she was heavily involved in various campus organizations, including the Centennial Scholars Program, Office of Orientation, Student Government Association, and the Lambda Chi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. In addition, she received the 2007 Diversity Enhancement Award; won three JMU NAACP Image Awards, including 2010 Graduate Student of the Year; and was voted Miss Madison by her peers during her senior year.
Currently, Ms. King resides in Northern Virginia and works for Booz Allen Hamilton as an Instructional Systems Designer. She gives back to JMU as a member of the President’s Council, Women for Madison Executive Advisory Council, and the Black Alumni Chapter. In addition, she continues to serve in her sorority and is a member of Toastmasters International. She has a B.S., Media Arts and Design (concentration in Corporate Communication) and an M.S.Ed., Adult Education/Human Resource Development (concentration in Instructional Design).

Ms. Mann just wrapped filming the new HBO miniseries "Show Me a Hero" from Producer/writer David Simon (The Wire) and directed by Oscar Winner Paul Haggis. The show will air next year. She currently can be seen on TV in several national commercial spots and recently provided her vocal talents alongside Matthew Broderick and Whoopi Goldberg for the New York debut of Macy's "Yes, Virginia: The Musical." Ms. Mann also does voice-over work in NYC and DC.

Rachael Roehrig, Senior Scientific Executive at 3D Communications
Rachael Roehrig, Ph.D., is a Senior Scientific Executive at 3D Communications where she uses her extensive scientific and regulatory experience, as well as technical writing skills, to prepare clients for successful regulatory interactions and FDA advisory committee meetings.
Before joining 3D Communications, Ms. Roehrig worked as the Director of Technical & Scientific Affairs at the Consumer Healthcare Products Association (CHPA), where she focused on regulatory and quality issues for the over-the-counter pharmaceutical industry. In this role, Ms. Roehrig worked closely with the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) and was appointed to USP’s Council of the Convention. Ms. Roehrig also acted as CHPA’s liaison to the FDA to build and manage relationships with the FDA’s Office of Compliance and Office of Regulatory Affairs. Representing the World Self Medication Industry, Ms. Roehrig participated in the development of the International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) quality guidelines.
As a physical chemistry instructor at Stevenson University in Baltimore, Ms. Roehrig educated students and developed new laboratory curriculums on both thermodynamics and quantum chemistry. She received her B.S. in chemistry from James Madison University and her PhD in chemistry from The Johns Hopkins University where she studied photophysical inorganic chemistry applied to molecular cardiobiology.
Ms. Roehrig currently serves as the Chair of the Steering Committee and member of the Board for the Product Quality Research Institute. Roehrig is a member of the American Academy of Pharmaceutical Scientists and also serves on the James Madison University Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics Executive Advisory Council.

As a physical chemistry instructor at Stevenson University in Baltimore, Ms. Roehrig educated students and developed new laboratory curriculums on both thermodynamics and quantum chemistry. She received her B.S. in chemistry from James Madison University and her PhD in chemistry from The Johns Hopkins University where she studied photophysical inorganic chemistry applied to molecular cardiobiology.
Ms. Roehrig currently serves as the Chair of the Steering Committee and member of the Board for the Product Quality Research Institute. Roehrig is a member of the American Academy of Pharmaceutical Scientists and also serves on the James Madison University Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics Executive Advisory Council.
